Anup Malavia is the Founder and CEO of Whitespace Business Advisors. His career spans extensive work with global organizations across various industries, specializing in leadership development, organizational transformation, capability building, and strategic advisory initiatives. His mission is to help organizations build future-ready capability ecosystems that enhance leadership maturity, workforce adaptability, strategic thinking, and execution readiness in a continuously changing world.
His Philosophy
Anup firmly believes that the primary challenge facing organizations today is not a lack of talent, but rather a deficit in leadership readiness, workforce capability, and the alignment between strategy and execution.
Sustainable organizational transformation is not achieved through technology or process alone. Instead, he asserts it is built when organizations invest deeply in human capability, adaptability, leadership maturity, and a strong execution culture.
Professional Journey
Through Whitespace Business Advisors and other strategic collaborations, Anup works alongside leaders and institutions committed to building resilient, future-ready enterprises. He possesses 33+ years of work experience. Prior to founding his current firm in July 2021, he held several executive roles driving enterprise-wide change:
Tata Technologies: As the Global Head of Learning & Organization Development, he was part of the senior leadership team responsible for enterprise capability development, leadership transformation, and workforce readiness across global operations.
Fiserv: Served as the Director of Learning and Development, leading learning, leadership, and workforce capability initiatives for the India region.
Atos International: Functioned as the Head of Learning, Talent & Organization Development for the IMEA and APAC regions, managing large-scale global capability and organizational transformation initiatives.
Capgemini: Led the Pune Offshore development center as Senior Manager of Learning & Culture, managing global technical trainings and Learning Management System implementations.
CMC Ltd / TCS Ltd: Led the Western region Business and played a key role in setting up and managing Novell Education Centers, Post Graduate placement programs besides Corporate trainings for many government entities.
Earlier in his career, he held leadership and consulting positions at Growel Softech Ltd, Netpoint International Oy., Aptech, Tata Consultancy Services (CMC Limited), and CAT Education.
A Track Record Built Inside Global Organizations
Before founding Whitespace, I led enterprise-wide Learning, Talent, and Organization Development functions at some of the world's most respected companies — Tata Technologies, Fiserv, Atos (across IMEA and APAC), and Capgemini.
In those roles, I didn't just design programs. I built leadership pipelines, transformed cultures, stood up global learning ecosystems, and led capability initiatives that touched thousands of employees across regions and business units. I know what works at scale, and I know how fast things break when capability doesn't keep pace with ambition.
In 2021, I founded Whitespace Business Advisors to bring that experience directly to leaders and organizations who need it most — with the speed, focus, and personal attention a large internal function often can't offer.
